Synopsis:

Kadin is about the journey of a boy of Batanes, Peping together with his sister Lita to find his goat (kadin) – Gima.  It is very important for him and his family, for it provides them milk for money. Gima was also a gift from Peping’s father and told him to take good care of it.  It also reminds him of his mother for a more important reason than that she was the one who gave name to Gima. Peping and Lita go around the island to find his goat before the day ends.

Recommended subject Areas:

Values

Peping’s instinct and his love for the family is very evident in this movie.  The lost of Gima was something for him because it came from his father and was given name by his deceased mother so the goat as reminder of his parents, his instinct is to look for the goat.  This is how the loving child in each one of us arises.  We tend to give importance to whatever our love ones gives to us because of love.

Cinematic Focus:

Story/Plot driven

The movie focused on the journey of Peping in finding his goat. which was the plot of the story.

Audience Stability:

General Patronage

Points of Observation:

There are lots of walking in the film. It was quite boring but the shots taken and the framing helped a lot in keeping from boredom.

I applaud the place, because the scenery of Batanes really made the film.  If I was not really focusing on the film itself , I would just be hooked up to what I see aesthetically because Batanes is trully breath-taking.

Story wise, it was very refreshing, very plain film.  It made a different feel for there were no physical conflicts  made.  The film dint made you to expect yet it didn’t actually made you disappointed.

Rating:3 Stars-you can watch it to relax
